Meet the new Tree Bag!

It is an unique biodegradable design bag made entirely from materials of trees. After a development period of more than 2,5 years it is finally here. The Tree Bag is made out of (waste) coconut fibre mixed with sun dried rubber (new combination of materials). The handle and the clasp are made out of FSC certified walnut wood and have been especially developed for this bag (new closing system). The Tree Bag is completely designed according the Cradle to Cradle principle following the circular economy

reWrap presents the Tree Bag
a fully biodegradable designer bag made out of tree

reWrap has created a unique, fully biodegradable bag, a bag entirely made out of materials from trees. It shows that it is well possible to combine a completely sustainable
design with an elegant look.

The sleek, minimalistic design reflects the natural origin of the bag. It is a bag to be
seen with, not just because of the distinguishing appearance but also because the
user shows that he made a sustainable choice; at the end of its lifetime the bag can
be composted and serve again as fertilizer for new trees.

All materials are specially developed
reWrap developed a sturdy and waterresistant material, which gives the Tree Bag
its natural and outspoken look: coconut fibres pressed together with sun-dried natural rubber. Coconut fibre normally is a by-product (so no innocent coconuts are harmed for the production of the bag) and natural rubber is biodegradable, contrary to its vulcanized industrial variant.

Everything is polished, dyed and sewn together with natural materials, such as bee wax, plant extracts and woodpulp. Not a single non-natural or toxic material is used. Sustainable and social reWrap attaches a lot of value to responsible choices in all aspects: not just the ecological, but also the social ones. The bags are lovingly crafted by people with a disability in a small workshop in Amsterdam. About reWrap reWrap is a young Dutch brand wholly committed to creating stylish products that do not burden the environment. All rewrap products are made of natural materials and as such are completely biodegradable. After a long and sustainable life a reWrap product will decompose and return to nature, where it can serve again as raw material.
