LIFE BALL 2015 GOLD
Life Ball, which took place May 16, 2015 in front and inside Vienna City Hall, is Europe’s biggest annual public manifestation against HIV/AIDS. The aim: to help people affected by HIV and AIDS in an unconventional way and to fight against the taboo status of HIV/AIDS in our society. Therefore, Life Ball is an exuberant festivity that celebrates life and makes a loud statement in the fight against HIV and AIDS – resounding across the boundaries of Vienna and Austria. The broad national and international attention is particularly necessary, since the Life Ball also serves as voice of HIV positive people or people suffering from HIV/AIDS. The threat through the Virus is still present in the whole world; the HI-virus is deadly. HIV and AIDS can affect everybody regardless of gender, age, social status or sexual orientation.

About the choice of the motto “GOLD” and the connection with the Viennese Secessionists – especially Gustav Klimt:?The photos were produced for Life Ball´s Style Bible 2015. The annual Style Bible is intended to explain the ball´s motto and to inspire the guests as they are designing their costumes. The creative concept and the props are done by Life Ball-CEO Gery Keszler and the Life Ball Team; Inge Prader brought the creations to life with her amazing photos.
To awaken a spirit of optimism, liveliness and activity in every single person – that was the goal of the 23rd Life Ball, which makes reference to Vienna at the turn of the last century in order to highlight the strong-willed and creative types of that time who revolutionized society with their purposefulness and perpetually new joy of life.

Accordingly, the element of GOLD played a central role in the creative implementation of the topic in the Style Bible and festivities organized around the Life Ball as a surface on which to project dreams and desires for abundance, freedom and truly “paradise-like” conditions.
