This new collection of Rachid Assoui, F / W / 2016 / 2017, is based on fantasies about the travels and the becoming of silk, from the production to the trade. The inspiration comes from the mixture of cultures along the road from East to West, the history, landscapes and projections of futuristic stories based on these.

Rachid Assoui chose to create an elegant yet simple collection with strong lines and asymmetric accents. The richness of the silk, it's own quality, it's shine and luxury in a few strong colours make this a sensual yet powerful collection.

Born Marrakech, Morocco
"I am born and raised in Marrakech where I have lived amongst the traditions and got a great interest in handcrafted textiles. After this I moved to Venezuela for 3 years and this also influenced my interests in traditions and Fashion. After this came Amsterdam as my new Home Base for the last 16 years, where I felt I could finally bring together all I wanted in life. I have always made my own fashion and followed what happened in the fashion world, but I found out that I still missed certain skills. "
