e-broidery® is the result of custom-developed technology, from textile circuits to LED fabrication, production and integration processes. Integrating e-broidery® in embellished textile collections enhances the design language with alterable material and functionality. Magically shimmering lights interact with sensual material and colour atmospheres. Form and design language of e-broidery® is manifold and can be developed in a wide spectrum of styles.
 
QUALITY
e-broidery® can be realized on fine sheer as well as on heavy wool or technical fabrics. Illuminated textiles, adapted to refined material qualities and your own materials, fulfil highest requirements for drape, touch-and-feel as well as washability.
 
ELETRONIC ASSEMBLY AND CUTLENGTH
The embroidery designs contain electronic circuits and include LED interconnections. Design, cut length and choice of electronic assembly will be adjusted to your requirements.

APPLICATION
e-broidery® basics are multifunctional textiles versatile for sensational scenography in fairs, theatres, boutiques and more. Predeveloped embroidery layouts make the customizable e-broidery® Basics available from small quantities and short lead times.
Specific combination of material and colour complement the refined embroidery designs and can be applied to different functionalities/situations in various decoration styles.
 
FORM AND QUALITY
Your customized illuminated textiles will be delivered ready for confection cut to the size of your choice or as large scale panels up to 14 metres. e-broidery® basics fulfil highest requirements to drape, touch-andfeel as well as washability. Illuminated textiles can be developed to be flame-retardant.
 
ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY
Choose from our range of standard electronic assembly and connection solutions. The Basics can be ordered with dimming function and light animations can be defined freely in two separate groups.

Experience this phenomenal material yourself and order our samples or request additional Basics variations. We will be happy to discuss and support you in defining material, colours and light motives in person.
 
FORM AND MATERIAL
Our made-to-measure fabric LED displays are exceptionally light weight, wearable, as well as washable and drapable. Form, size, function, circuit layout and resolution are developed suitable to your application. Small and large displays can be developed in organic form and applied to any 3D shape. In combination with filter layers the sharp LED lights can be deformed and diffused. We are happy to support in you finding a suitable fabric choice, which ranges from technical textiles to fine natural qualities.

DESIGN
Should the LED matrix play a decorative role in your product? Thanks to the embroidery technology the design options are limitless.
 
EMBROIDERY
The embroidery technique offers an endless diversity in composition of form, material and colours. Equally versatile the embroidery design can now be enhanced by active lighting. The light can be integrated as illustrative, freely scattered, geometric or organic forms.
 
MATERIAL AND SIZE
Embroidery can be applied on heavy wool as well as on finest sheers or technical textiles.
With industrial embroidery machines we are able to realize a great variety of dimensions. The results can be up to 14 metres long panels, specific sewing patterns, ornamental motifs or fine textile ribbons.
 
FINISHING PROCESSES
Further finishing processes enhance the range of depth effects and expression of material and colours. e-broidery® textiles can be subjected to standard textile finishing processes such as thermo transfer printing, hot pressing, lamination or combinations with rhinestones.
 
LIGHT ANIMATION AND ELECTRONICS
With our electronic solutions we can realize light dimming and animation. These
assembly parts can be integrated as part of the product design, finished to be washable.
LED textiles are low-power solutions and run on 5 volt with a current of less than 20 milliampere per LED. There are no health or safety issues in this power range. A range of wearable, small rechargeable batteries are available. The circuit layout of illuminated textiles can be adjusted to other power requirements.
 
Since 2009 Forster Rohner Textile Innovations combines the experience of more than a century in the textile industry with competent knowledge in material science, textile technology and electrical engineering.
Next to e-broidery® technology we supply sensor and heating textiles as well as textile conductors. e-broidery® illuminated textiles are developed in a team of engineers and textile designers in close collaboration with the production staff of Forster Rohner AG.
Our development process secures serial production from the beginning. Concept, prototype and pilot run are the route to reliable products and applications with illuminated textiles.
