Olga Hirshhorn, who began buying modern art while married to Joseph H. Hirshhorn, the founder of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, and who over time became recognized as a serious collector in her own right, died on Saturday at her home in Naples, Fla. She was 95.

We remember Olga Hirshhorn, wife of founding donor Joseph Hirshhorn and a champion of our Museum through her service on the Board of Trustees and as a generous and wise advisor to all who worked here. With this sculpture, we memorialize and celebrate her wonderful life. We will miss her.
